Overview

Hydro-excavation is the safe and productive nondestructive excavation method. Unlike mechanical excavation, there is little chance of damage when water is used to loosen the soil, significantly reducing the safety and financial risks associated with utility line strikes.

Vactor Manufacturing, the leading vacuum truck manufacturer in the world, has worked closely with excavation contractors to develop the HXX. Safety and productivity are designed into every unit. Pressurized water breaks apart soil, while a high-flow vacuum removes it without damaging or disrupting lines. The HXX is commonly used for slot-trenching, water-line repair, directional drilling, sign and pole installation, pot-holing, and underground utility and pipe location.

The HXX gives you up to 7 hours continuous operation with the on-board water. Lower water flow results in less operator fatigue and a cleaner, more precise digging process. The HXX fan's 8,000 cfm airflow is more than double that of many units.
